The people you see in the video “Undress Me,” 20 in all, are all total strangers; they were given simple instructions: undress the other person and get in bed with them. That’s it.



Is getting undressed in front of a total stranger as awkward as we think it is?
Directed by filmmaker Tatia Pilieva, who is known for her wildly popular short video “First Kiss,” in which strangers were asked to kiss each other, this film also explores first-time human interaction in highly intimate situations. It was produced in collaboration with Showtime to promote the original series Master of Sex.
“Undress Me” was inspired by research into human sexuality done in the 1950s by William Masters and Viriginia Johnson (of Masters and Johnson), in which men and women were also asked to undress while researchers recorded the results.
